New grant reform regulations go into effect on December 26th, 2014. The new grant and federal funding guidance will impact how all tribal governments, tribal entities, and non-profits manage grants and contracts in 2015. NAFOA is committed to providing up-to-date information to help prepare for the changes.
The Council on Financial Assistance Reform (COFAR), an interagency group charged with overseeing financial reform, will host a webinar on the Uniform Guidance implementation on Thursday, October 2nd from 1:00PM - 3:00PM EST. NAFOA will participate in the conversation, discussing the provision that allows Indian tribes to opt out of the report publication and the effect of Indian tribes being removed from the definition of state, among other topics that have an impact on grant management.
