Treasury to Host Listening Session on Tax and Capital Initiatives

The Treasury Department will host an in-person general listening session on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. (EST) to hear directly from tribes and tribal representatives regarding the interests and concerns of existing tax policy and access to capital initiatives.

 

The meeting will be facilitated by Dr. Elaine Buckberg, the Treasury Department's Point of Contact for Tribal Consultation. Dr. Buckberg will be joined by Treasury officials from the Office of Tax Policy, the Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Native Initiatives program, and the IRS Indian Tribal Governments programs.
