NAFOA is pleased to thank AccuFund, Inc. for sponsoring one of NAFOA’s Scholarships and supporting Native Americans in their educational pursuits.

In 2007, NAFOA’s scholarship recipient was Sheri Hunter.  Ms. Hunter is a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe in Nevada.  She is working towards a Bachelor of Science Accounting Degree and anticipates graduating from Morrison University in Reno, Nevada in June 2008.

Ms. Hunter’s professional goal is to work as a certified public accountant, performing financial audits and assisting organizations in improving and understanding their accounting data through remembering the past, processing the present, and preparing for the future.

Ms. Hunter states, “Planning is vital to accomplishing ones goals, whatever they may be.  If I can offer any advice, it is to start with a plan and stick with it.  Time goes by fast and before you know it, you are there.”

NAFOA is proud to have been able to provide Ms. Hunter will some assistant in reaching her goals, and looks forward towards supporting other Native American students.
