Summary of Position:
Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Resort in the beautiful Umpqua
Valley in Canyonville, Oregon is seeking a Director of Finance for our
casino property. Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Resort is owned and
operated by the Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians and is one of the
largest employers in Douglas County.
Requirements: BS Degree in accounting or equivalent completed accounting courses up to intermediate accounting or related areas and 5 or more years experience as a CFO in accounting or related field. Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable, payroll, generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP), etc. Experience in Tribal Government Accounting is preferred.
Job Duties: Overall responsibility and accountability for managing and directing the organizations financial planning, accounting, and cash management practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions and the financial community. Oversee and direct cash, banking, investing, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, activities to safeguard the funds, securities, and assets of the property and insurance risk management activities. Provide and direct procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to ensure adequate accounting controls and services. Appraise the organizations financial position and issue periodic reports on the organizations financial stability, liquidity, and growth. Direct and coordinate the establishment of capital and operating budget programs. Coordinate tax reporting programs, analyze, consolidate, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports. Analyze general economics, business and financial conditions and their impact on the organizations policies and procedures. Conducts evaluations, and provide ongoing evaluations giving staff constructive feedback. Other duties as needed or required.
