
Cristina Danforth
Board President
Cristina Danforth is the President of NAFOA and has served on the board since 2009. She is also currently an elected Tribal Treasurer for the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin. She has served on the Oneida Business Committee which is their governing body for 20 years. She also served as the Tribal Chairwoman for two terms. Danforth is a Director of the Native American Bank N. A. and is a shareholder representative for Oneida. Her other current responsibility includes participation as a board member for Flower Hill Institute which provides STEM programs for Tribal youth. Danforth has been involved in a leadership capacity for most of her career promoting Tribal sovereignty, economic development, cultural programming, financial sustainability, banking and advancement for the well being of Indian country. She is the recipient of NAFOA’s Lifetime Achievement award, WEWIN Lifetime Achievement award, Oneida AMVET Leadership award and several juried art awards for her beautiful beadwork. Her greatest accomplishment is being a grandma.
