Tara Sweeney is making history as the first Alaska Native and the first woman in two decades to serve as Assistant-Secretary of Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior. Now, just over six months into her role, she’s returning to NAFOA to share the progress made so far, as well as lay out Interior’s plans for continuing to develop strong tribal economies.
