Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee Public Meeting Today, Pensions Survey Paused

The U.S. Department of the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC) will convene a public meeting today Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM EST to 4:00 PM EDT. The current IRS Commissioner, Charles Rettig, will provide opening remarks.
The meeting will be held via teleconference and is open to the public. It does not require advanced registration. Participants are welcome to make public comments related to tribal taxation to the TTAC. Click here to view the meeting agenda.

TRIBAL PENSION SURVEY PAUSED UNITL FURTHER NOTICE
Last week NAFOA announced the release of a survey aimed to gain insight into pensions, benefits, and retirement programs specific to Native American Nations. Based on feedback from the TTAC, the survey is paused until further notice while the Pensions Subcommittee reevaluates its design.
