The Accounting Manager participates in the financial operating and capital planning processes and makes recommendations that achieve desired financial results. Establishes and endorses the business and service objectives, ethics and values of the Company in accordance with the Code of Commitment. Oversees general ledger functions. Trains accountant in general ledger. Reviews projected changes to budgeted information. Interfaces with all departments concerning all financial data including operating financial statements and budgets. Assists in preparation of financial reports to be included in financial statements and financial reports for internal and external purposes (SEC, CCC, lenders).
Prepares operational and financial analysis of company operations, and prepares recommendations to improve operating margin and cash flow. Maintains database of capital projects and prepares ROI’s for capital projects as requested. Oversees preparation of various personal computer applications and system 38 report writer. Directs the activities of the inventory control staff. Analyzes inventory system reports, monitors and reviews inventory quantity levels and works with other departments in establishing EQQ (Economic Order Quantity) and par levels with user departments.
College degree, majoring in Accounting, Finance or Economics. CPA or MBA preferred. Knowledge of financial software systems. Five years accounting or financial analysis experience. Strong communication, managerial and organizational skills required.
