Sheppard Mullin
Sheppard Mullin is a full-service law firm founded in 1927 with over 900 attorneys located in seven offices throughout California and eight other offices worldwide. Our tribal law practice represents tribes, tribal agencies and businesses, financial institutions, and other entities with respect to legal issues affecting tribes and is comprised of attorneys who have previously worked for tribal governments and for the United States Department of the Interior. We advise tribal clients on a broad range of tribal governance and economic development issues in regard to finance, construction, real estate, labor and employment, land use, tax, litigation, energy, entertainment, and technology transactions. We arbitrate and litigate complex state, federal, and tribal law issues in state, federal, and tribal courts. We handle complex financings throughout Indian country, including both taxable and tax-exempt financings, and have worked on over 100 Native American credit transactions involving more than 50 different tribes.
