Economic Development for the Tule River Tribe

The CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the board of directors and the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policy. The CEO will provide overall leadership, management and vision, coordination, administration necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people systems in place to effectively grow the organization, and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide day-to-day leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice.
Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Drives the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
Supervises timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.[DI1] [DC2]
Responsible for the overall financial well-being of the company.
Responsible for maintaining growth and development on time and within budget.
Spearheads the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our organization.
Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the executive team not currently in place; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
Assists, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives.
Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Represents the company with clients, investors, and business partners.
Enters, updates, and retrieves information from a variety of computer systems.
Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of corporate operations.
Interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, and direct work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Attend public functions and local community chapter organizations promoting the company as a positive business in the local area.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance, or a related field; master’s degree, preferred.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a CEO position. 3:1 ratio may be substituted with experience for education.
Must possess a Valid California Driver’s License and be insurable through the company.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
Experience in Tribal Government environment (preferred not required).
Must be professional, polite, and respectful towards all guests.
Must be able to work all shifts and manage extended hours when necessary.
Excellent people skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
Knowledge of Section 17 Corporations.
Comprehension of accounting principles and applications.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, and legal.
Read and comprehend legal terms and terminology.
Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
Ability to multitask and prioritize; retain and recall factual information; remain composed under stress and establish effective working relationships.
Ability to type 40 wpm.
Capable of writing and speaking clearly and concisely using correct grammar to record and report information.
Ability to communicate with persons of various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to work from oral and written instructions; Read and write common vocabulary.
Capacity to influence others in a positive manner.
Must manage and maintain confidential information.
Ability to identify problems, determine variable solutions and adopt effective courses of action.
Ability to apply common sense.
Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays if needed; Occasional short and long-distance travel may be required.
