Membership Eligibility & Dues

Applicants must be based in the U.S., not just have a presence, to qualify for membership. The Board will decide if there are questions about an entity’s location. Eligible entities include:

  1. Indian tribes recognized by the United States government;
  2. Alaska Native Villages recognized by the United States government; and
  3. Entities granted membership before April 14, 2019 (grandfathered in).

The NAFOA Board voted to offer NAFOA’s membership with a flat structure of $5,000 per year renewable each year thereafter on the anniversary date of the inaugural membership.
