Public Hearing on NPRM Entitled “Entities Wholly Owned by Indian Tribal Governments”

For those interested in participating or listening in to the January 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time public hearing on the above-named NPRM, please note the following dates and requirements:
January 7, 2025: Per the NPRM, persons who wish to present comments at the hearing must submit a request to comment and their outline by 5 p.m. ET on January 7, 2025. If no outlines are received, the public hearing will be cancelled. Individuals who want to testify in person at the public hearing must send an email to publichearings@irs.gov to have your name added to the building access list. The subject line of the email must contain the regulation number REG-113628-21 and the language TESTIFY In Person. For example, the subject line may say: “Request to TESTIFY In Person at Hearing for REG-113628-21.”
Individuals who want to testify by telephone at the public hearing must send an email to publichearings@irs.gov to receive the telephone number and access code for the hearing by 5 p.m. ET on January 7, 2025. The subject line of the email must contain the regulation number REG-113628-21 and the language TESTIFY Telephonically. For example, the subject line may say: “Request to TESTIFY Telephonically at Hearing for REG-113628-21.”
January 15, 2025: Individuals who want to attend the public hearing in person without testifying must also send an email to publichearings@irs.gov to have your name added to the building access list. The subject line of the email must contain the regulation number (REG-113628-21) and the language ATTEND In Person. For example, the subject line may say: “Request to ATTEND Hearing In Person for REG-113628-21.” Requests to attend the public hearing must be received by 5 p.m. ET on January 15, 2025.
