On October 24th from 2:00 – 3:15 p.m. Eastern Time, NAFOA will host a listening session to discuss the Tribal General Welfare Exclusion (GWE) Act’s recent Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM). NAFOA actively encourages tribal leaders and stakeholders to participate and share feedback in preparation for the Treasury’s Tribal Consultations scheduled for next month. You may submit advance questions or comments on the proposed GWE rules via the registration form.

The listening session will begin with introductions from members of the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC) and their advisors, who will give brief updates on the NPRM.   Following the updates, NAFOA will host a listening session to answer questions and receive comments from tribal leaders on the proposed rules and regulatory changes.

Live comments during the listening session are preferred, but attendees may use the Q&A function. Anyone who cannot attend the listening session may also submit comments or questions to nicholas@nafoa.org.
