Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee to Hold Their 13th Periodic Meeting on January 24th

The Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC) will hold its 13th periodic meeting on January 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. The meeting will be held at the U.S. Department of the Treasury at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Attendees can either attend virtually or in person. Registration is required, and in-person attendees must register before January 22nd, 5:00 p.m. ET.

From the Treasury:

“During this meeting, the TTAC will advise the Secretary of Treasury on issues related to Federal taxation and policy matters important to Indian Country and report out subcommittee work on the General Welfare Exclusion, Tribal Economies and Parity and Reform. In addition, the TTAC will hear public comments, identify issues requiring tribal consultation, prioritize policy issues for discussion and action during 2024 and take other actions necessary to fulfill the TTAC’s mandate.”

Treasury has not yet published an official agenda; however, a draft agenda is currently available on the Treasury’s website. Attendees are welcome to make public comments during the meeting. Written comments must be submitted to TTAC@Treasury.org for consideration at the meeting.
